ROCCA
Sébastian Rocca naît en Colombie au milieu des années 1970 dans une famille fortement bercée par la musique. Il émigre en France et à Paris dans le XIVème arrondissement à six ans. Depuis son plus jeune âge, Rocca joue des percussions et est un fervent admirateur du rap français et d’Amérique du Sud. Avec son ami boxeur et rappeur Daddy Lord C, il rejoint le collectif de hip-hop La Cliqua en 1993.
Personnage discret mais important du paysage du rap français, Rocca est un des rappeurs les plus créatifs de sa génération. Colombien d’origine, il a su s’imposer tant en solo, avec les albums Entre Deux Mondes (1997) et Amour Suprême (2003), qu’avec son groupe de hip-hop La Cliqua, ou sa formation de musique latine Tres Coronas.
Sébastian Rocca was born in Colombia in the mid-1970s into a family with a strong musical background. He emigrated to France and moved to the 14th arrondissement of Paris at the age of six. From a young age, Rocca played percussion and was a fervent admirer of French and South American rap. With his friend, boxer and rapper Daddy Lord C, he joined the hip-hop collective La Cliqua in 1993.
A discreet but important figure in the French rap scene, Rocca is one of the most creative rappers of his generation. Originally from Colombia, he has made a name for himself both as a solo artist, with the albums Entre Deux Mondes (1997) and Amour Suprême (2003), and with his hip-hop group La Cliqua and his Latin music group Tres Coronas.
